Omar Rodriguez, Enrolled Agent, retired from the IRS with 21 years of federal service. While at the IRS, Omar proudly served as a Revenue Officer and Appeals Officer.

Omar is an IRS certified classroom instructor as well as an IRS certified instructor trainer and evaluator. As an instructor, Omar taught IRS courses such as Trust Fund Recovery Penalty for Appeals Officers, Offer In Compromise, Introduction to Appeals, Advanced Topics for Appeals Officers, and Fundamental Topics for Appeals Officers. Omar served as a Subject Matter Expert for Trust Fund Recovery Penalty cases as well as a mentor on the IRS Peer Mentoring Program. Additionally, Omar held outreaches with both internal and external stakeholders.

Now Omar presents training sessions for the TXCPA Austin Chapter, and other organizations, and is an active member of the Capital of Texas Enrolled Agents.

Omar graduated from the University of Texas at Brownsville with a BS in Criminal Justice. Omar is originally from Brownsville, TX and currently resides in central Texas.
